My work continues the classical and medieval tradition of depicting myth, legend, and folklore. Often these gods, icons, or characters are used to construct a narrative reassembling a moral compass of social demeanor. The figures I depict bring the custom of "hero worship" and "epic storytelling" into contemporary culture.

While the characters presented resemble those of generalized popular culture icons such as super heroes, athletes, modern or futuristic explorers, and larger than life beings, these subjects bend the social "norm" of their prescribed behavioral patterns.
